Today I spent the whole afternoon with my father in the hospital. I awoke with a huge hangover - went to a barbecue with a few colleagues from work last night. It was tiring, but I needed it. Soon I will reach the end of my two weeks notice, so I will be able to focus on helping take care of my dad.
Also, my money is getting pretty tight. With my recent trip to my friends house in another state, and the huge amount of ubers I'm taking to go speak with doctors and back-and-forth to the hospital and home, for the first time ever I'm reaching the limit on my credit card - which will take roughly half of my upcoming last salary, so that's not good. From now on, I will be strictly taking the bus or walking. Goodbye air-conditioner, hello 35° brazillian summer.
Still, the day wasn't so bad. I helped bathe my dad, but most of my time was waiting as he went for another operation - this time, to re-do an internal stitch that was still bleeding. Apparently everything went well, but my mother was already back to switch with me before the anesthesia wore off, o I didn't get the chance to speak to him after the operation.
Then I stress ate some yummy food (mac and cheese with some pork brisket on top), which was delicious, but left me feeling guilty from both spending money and breaking my diet - and also eating well while my dad can't even ingest liquids yet.
Thankful for my antidepressants, or I would have given up days ago.
In other news, I started a new solo journalling game this week. It's called Alone on the Hitman Redeye, about making up an agent on a mission, and generating hitmans that you will have to deal with to accomplih said mission, and how you confront them. I'm still on my first enemy, but the generating tables create some pretty fun results, so I might do a few of them before posting the final journal on here.
